London Songwriter Murray Webster crafts engaging and catchy Pop/Rock drawn from personal experience and a rich tradition of classic songwriting.

The new single Blue Dansette has been selected from the forthcoming online stereo EP Blue Dansette and is also available as a physical 7″ single b/w Tell Me It’s You in Limited Edition authentic bright 1960s Mono Vinyl Mixes.

The first three tracks on the EP represent the 60, 70s and 80s in turn, with Mersey pastiche Tell Me It’s You completing the four tracks. The video of Blue Dansette will also be released soon.

The EP release explores personal and cultural artefacts, with influences spanning 25 years of musical history, musicians, fashion, discs, gigs, venues and instruments from the early 1960s to the late 1980s and beyond.

Murray has played iconic London venues such as The WAG (‘Whiskey-a-go-go‘, as featured on the EP), The Astoria, The Bass Clef, The Hammersmith Palais, The 100 Club and The Forum. He has played Douglas Corner Cafe in Nashville and The Mint in LA. He has supported Courtney Pine at the Bracknell Jazz Festival also featuring Charlie Watts and is featured in Channel 4 documentary 10 Days That Shook Soho about the Soho Jazz Festival.
