August 2025

Hi all, very excited that my new single Get Wise! is out today.

It’s an infectious horn-driven soul jazz samba dance song – the lyric is a reminder to stand in your truth & move to your own rhythm.

Like Siempre Contigo it’s another one inspired 40 years ago by a Kenny Burrell track, Midnight Blue, with a Samba beat & a touch of Stevie Wonder funky clavinet. It borrows from the title of the CBS Records compilation Get Wise! featuring Mission Impossible & released 23rd August 86 ☺

Enjoy!

 May/July 2025
The 3rd single The Only One That I Could Love‘ is released 18th July and is a catchy, Jazz Standard style crooner song originally written on a Ray Davies songwriting retreat some years before I ran my own. It’s a romantic, melodic piece about chance meetings, instant attraction and love. The instrumental guitar version will be released at a later date.

Murray’s new single Your Couldn’t Care Less Heart released 9th May marks the beginning of an exciting solo journey, having been performed to great acclaim, even as an instrumental, at iconic venues such as The Hammersmith Palais, the Forum and the Bracknell and Soho Jazz Festivals. The instrumental ‘Siempre Contigo is released 30th May. By July the videos have together achieved around 30K views.
